ABOUT
Hey, it’s Isaac.
I won’t be writing about myself in the third person—that feels too weird.
I’ve always loved telling stories. I studied film production from a young age, which eventually led me to film school. College, however, wasn’t for me, so I dropped out early with a new dream: making music. That path brought me back to school for sound engineering and, soon after, to an overnight janitor job at Record Plant Recording Studios. I cleaned toilets, took out the trash, and soaked up everything I could about the music industry (mop in hand).
Over time, I worked my way up the ladder—engineer, booking manager, and eventually Vice President of the company. It was a strange, scrappy, and incredibly formative education in how creative work actually gets made.
During the pandemic, I left the music industry and moved into advertising as a creative and copywriter, drawing on my background in film. I worked on big projects and small ones, learned how to collaborate within a structured environment (not at all like the world I came from in music), and—most importantly—learned to trust my instincts as a creative and storyteller.
Now I’m leaning back into film production—investing in gear, shooting and editing for local arts nonprofits, and strengthening the skills that got me excited about storytelling in the first place. The goal is simple: do good work, tell worthwhile stories, and stay curious above all else.
